When Rose was a younger flower we
When Rose was a younger flower we
sometimes peeked at her from behind
closed doors through keyholes while
she bathed as young boys have
been known to do.
we thought the thoughts of fire
and sweat so
when Rose stood to dry we lay
to wet such as young boys have
been known to do.
And if we were lucky, Rose would
sit and play her
self out as we would stand and do
ourselves in as young boys have
been known to do.
oh, to be a young boy again.
