Bleeding Spectre

You're here.
I know you are.
I love you.
Every dreary night I grasped on to you,
Held you in my arms.
Every waking moment I saw your face.

And it was ever so soft.

And it was ever so aglow.

Your hair flowed perfectly,
And the sun reflected your purity

But now you are still.

That once soft face is now cracked and broken.

The glow now a pale and ashen grey.

They did this to you.
I promised I would protect you.

They tore you away from me.
I promised We would be inseparable.

They say you died but you couldn't have.
I promised you we would see the world.

You were by my side.
You held me when I called to you.

But even then, your heart.
It was always red,
Stained like black cherries and wine.

You promised you were ok.
You swore you would never leave me.

I held your hand going down the streets.
Always silent, because you never were the social type.

We whispered to each other,
About love and the weather.

I saw it today.
They led me to it.

I can't believe that at the moment I needed your hand the most,
I couldn't reach it.

Six feet is too far.
