there are thieves
stealing
black lives
telling
white lies
of protect
& serve
yet more
like disrespect
and disturb
this present
got me nerv-ous
of a future
much like
our past
where
policeman
can shoot ya'
then get a pass
no trial
just denial
based on
race
and class
the system clash
with humanity
as the insanity
of racism
gets immunity
as long as
the pain is inflicted
on the oppressed
population in
our community
as TV
televised lies
as multimedia
tries to manipulate
protect the interest
of those
whom seek
increased interest
in profit
invested in
popular culture
programmed
to market
promote positions
that push people
to prisons
from poor
participation
in piss poor
public schools
in this nation
that pipeline
more to prison
as nightline
tell lie vision
pump people
with popular culture's
propaganda
painting perception
of poor
black  
& brown
people
as evil
deserving
prejudiced policing
protected by precinct
prosecutors & politicians
that police what we think
as they profit
in prisons
for-profit
just think
who benefits
most in this market?
and who has the greatest
ability to stop it?
