Sky & I
I climbed up a ladder
to nail a cloud to the sky,
The cloud blew away,
and the sky asked why,
I've been forever trying
to pin this down in my mind;
The memory moves in
rhythms. I let it go,
In the moment of the echo;
stay silent.
I climbed up a ladder
to put the sun in the sky,
The sky said, "Ah-hah!"
That sky's pretty bright.
[to force clarity makes
no more sense
than to force confusion]
