Carrion Fodder

On the cusp of the first winter moon
Betwixt the coming doom and raging fires
A prophecy foretold, is oh so dire
Comes to pass at long last
To the sound of the oracle’s laugh

On top of jagged mountain peaks
Beneath the twinkling starlight
Those that seek the truth, uncouth
Desecrate the tomb too soon
For there is no sleep for creatures of the night

You mark the spot of your demise
With mindless babble and demented cries
We rise from the stinking mire
To sounds of demonic choirs

O, we rise from the pits of Hell
Chant the words and tear the veil
O, awake from oblivion
To run with wolves and carrion

My name in the old ancient tongues
It cuts through the air where dead men are hung
Whispered in cursed reverence
Through foul teeth seeking some penance

Is secret sacred cryptic verse
And written on the coffin’s walls
Is the prophecy, believe
The will of the beast, to feast
Creatures from the rotting hollow answer the call

O, we rise from the pits of Hell
Chant the words and tear the veil
O, awake from oblivion
To run with wolves and carrion

Frost on the jagged mountains
Shiver in biting wind
The red wine flows from crimson fountains
Where angels fear to trend

Darkness will cover the land of man
Then the devils take flight
Frozen peaks to desert sands
In perpetual night

O, we rise from the pits of Hell
Chant the words and tear the veil
O, awake from oblivion
To run with wolves and carrion

The carrion fodder fears
That which they do not understand
Those that seek the truth, they lose
Sanity and screws the muse
In the minds of all those across the land

Scorch the earth with devastation
We will conquer with obliteration
Rise of the apocalypse gods
The chant of the murder squads

O, we rise from the pits of Hell
Chant the words and tear the veil
O, awake from oblivion
To run with wolves and carrion
