Personal Renaissance
- Personal Renaissance -
A personal renaissance is a new era,
Free of old worries, old fears, and old terrors.
My path is clear, and I walk it without error,
And I will rise from old ashes in glory fairer!
Today, I break from the past up until now,
Even whilst I take a journey into yesterday!
I will take what portion the gods will allow,
For my happiness, and in their love so stay!
I will not journey across an ocean, to solve,
Problems I need to stay in order to thus fix.
I will stand firm, and I shall be so resolved,
In acting decisively, resolutely, and quick!
If the one I have until today in love trusted,
Cannot and will not change to save my life…
Then I must let that one go, a dream busted.
I will find a new dream, a truly loving wife!
Old dreams fade; a new dream now dawns,
My personal renaissance, my time to shine…
As the dark of night: before me thus yawns.
Let the past burn, except for what of time…
I choose to keep and take with me in exile.
It is time I found my soul’s mate with zeal,
And upon my lips found my truest smile…
So that my wounded heart canst fully heal!
Time is a cycle, a circle, an evolution,
Each stage, each step, requires transformation.
My path is clear, my journey, my destination,
And I will rise from old ashes in celebration!
Today, I break from the dreams that died,
The flowers that wilted upon the gardens…
As before me the abyss of change so wide:
Opens that I may pass all infernal wardens.
Nothing will stop me from my full course!
The path that I intend to walk, to paradise,
One of my making: for better or for worse.
Let the deceiver fly across water and ice…
I am remaining; I have other arrangements.
Other dreams to dream, new loves to find!
A new beginning free of old resentments…
Wherein I may, to a new joy my soul bind.
I am thankful for my family for so saving,
House and home, and my heart: from loss.
So I will not journey afar, I am so staying,
Keeping what is mine free of any old cost.
During the course of my recent tribulation,
It showed me the truth of one I didst hold.
I need not pass into a rising sun’s elation…
For twilight rises for me here, again bold!
Time is a cycle, a circle, an evolution,
Each stage, each step, requires transformation.
My path is clear, my journey, my destination,
And I will rise from old ashes in celebration!

Abandoning a cold bed, to seek warmer…
I divorce myself, from what before I felt.
Snow falls not forever, not ever stormier!
Frost and ice melt, fears fade, things pass.
One I loved betrayed me, lied to me fully,
And at the end I knew it couldst not last…
For I have, to new dreams, a loving duty.
Here in my home, where I shall thus be…
As ever, I will seek my soul’s mate anew.
She waits for me somewhere, in destiny!
The night will be my solace, darkly true.
My personal renaissance leads me ahead,
Toward a fate of my choosing to decide!
For this I hath work, hath worked, bled…
And will bleed more in the dark of night.
Naught comes without price to be paid…
Neither joy nor sorrow nor dreams also!
But I will face what awaits me unafraid…
I am secure, readied to evolve and grow.

A girl does what she can, dear Grace! Challenges will always come and go in life, but indeed it is how we face and overcome them that makes us grow, evolve, and become better than we ever were before. Life is always a constant learning process, and with each new thing we learn, we gain more strength and wisdom. Sometimes a bit of enlightenment too! But always, one must persevere. Well said, big sister! Life is ever a journey, and so long as the path we are on crumbles not, and remains clear, we can find the strength, wisdom, and knowledge to journey ever on to new heights we had not thought possible before. :)
