Never Forget

Despair never announces itself ahead of time,
It never calls to let you know its on its way.
But when it comes there is no mistaking it,
Darkness comes swiftly and consumes everything.
But you know that after every night, the morning comes.
Eventually the darkness is lifted and light fills the world.
Death is something no one wants to accept,
But no one can change.
So mourn upon the death of those lost,
But know that although they are lost from this world.
They have found their way into the light.
That our memories keep them alive, and their life unwasted.
So never forget those taken from us.
