I Dreamt

I dreamt I died last night
It was such a lovely dream
Felt no pain, I didn't wake up
Without a thought on my mind
My soul floated up to limbo
Where I was told to simply stay
Where I was, where I am meant to be
I cried on the way back down
I didn't want to ever leave
I didn't want to come back to earth
I was then showed a vision
Of what life would be like
If I weren't there anymore
I screamed at them "I don't care!"
They told me it wasn't my time
But I started to cry even harder
Don't send me back to war and death
To starvation and countless murders
Just don't make me go back to the sadness
They shook their heads and pointed down
That's your world for now...
They kissed my head and told me to go
With a heavy heart I floated down
Like a lead covered leaf
I dreamt of dying and now I'm sad to be alive
