Like a Ninja
As the night drew it's final curtain
I took my applause from the day spent
before slipping between the sheets with
the silence of a church mouse.
It was then,
as my fingers deployed in their well rehearsed
ninja like routine, fooling the mind that they wasn't
really there, but just you,
It was then,
that I realised,
always the night.
Tomorrow it'll be the day,
on the kitchen floor,
a first for me,
and for you too,
no church mice in sight,
don't be late.
I took my applause from the day spent
before slipping between the sheets with
the silence of a church mouse.
It was then,
as my fingers deployed in their well rehearsed
ninja like routine, fooling the mind that they wasn't
really there, but just you,

a first for me,
and for you too,
no church mice in sight,
don't be late.
