- Soul to Soul -
Soul to soul, I call to thee, across space and time,
Reaching with my heart, reaching with all my will.
Singing forth a mystic chant set to magical rhyme,
As I prepare myself like a chalice, for thee to sip thy fill…
Of the endless font of passion and love, and adoration:
Those things which art mine to bestow and so gladly!
Sing unto me in return, a song of joy and sweet elation.
Let us embrace as one, partaking of all joys so madly!
Love me, my sweet, deep down in the darkness…
Here, where the flames of love rise in pillars high,
Love me, my sweet, deep down in the darkness…
Until the rapture of it all doth make me to cry out!
Hold me close and tight, deep down amongst the shadows…
Drink of my love, until I must softly begin to sigh.
Hold me close and tight, deep down amongst the shadows…
Until the ecstasy of it doth cause me to in bliss shout!
Come unto me now, deep down amidst the twilight…
Let me lose myself fully in thy numberless charms.
Come unto me now, deep down amidst the twilight…
Such sweet tenderness do I find, in thy slender arms.
Let us whisper together, deep down within the gray mists…
Those secrets that lovers can, only between them, keep!

Of passions so grand, that lesser hearts wouldst weep.

Shall I give thee of my blood, and so sweeten thy wine?

Our lusts cutting ever deeper, yet leaving no scars!
Let us slip, deep down under the rich covers of the soft earth…
In such a bed, we shall perfect our madness with undying skill!

So comfortable here, far removed from those of weaker will!
Let us pass, deep down beneath the silken veils of no return…
Where the forbidden is thusly only for those fearful of the cost!

Run thy hands across my willing flesh, the body of salvation!
Anoint me with sweet oils, kissing me softly as thou dost…
And, let my hands find in thee pleasures of divine creation!
Let the heat of our love melt even the chill of winter’s frost.
Light a single candle at the bed of our love’s consummation,
So that the shadows and light may cover us like delicate silk.
Let me cover thee like the shadows, in warm ornamentation,
Whilst our love flows together like the warmest of milk!
As the light of the candle dims, our fires shall yet roar,
Until even in darkness, we will glow with the light of it.
Let us partake of love’s bounty, craving ever more,
Of each other’s adoration, a power that cannot quit…
For it is as eternal as darkness and light, frost and fire.
So love me, my sweet, and let the night bear witness,
To the fruits we savor that are sweetened by desire!

Dearest Tiger Lilly, I am most pleased that you enjoyed my rather romantic poem here! I find that writing about love and passion often flows from my heart, mind, soul and spirit just like the light that flows from me when I am writing about the Goddess and magic, and things of a more spiritual and mystical sort. Love, just like light, has a beauty to it that truly inspires like few other things can! So the beauty I try to create with my humble verses, I never tire of sharing with others. Blessed be, indeed, my dear little sister! :D

I so want to steal this line, Jessica. It is so lovely and actually seemed to summarise the whole poem...love together, even in winter chills or when things don't go the way we want it to.

I am so very glad that you enjoyed this lovely poem of mine, Grace! Indeed, that line you liked there is a very great line since as you keenly noted it truly sums up the whole of the poem in but a simple phrase. Sometimes though, it is simple phrases that can convey the most sublime of messages!
I could not agree more! It is no small feat to rise from the ashes of what was in order to ascend to a greater love and the glory of that love... but when we do unshackle ourselves from the fetters that hold us back, we can embrace far greater wonders than we ever dreamed possible. :)
