Time in a Bottle

Lost pieces of relativity
thrown into a ship,
sailed, and long sunken
in a galaxy,

parliamentary laws
and procedures
lost in crosses
that form loops
carrying alternating
currents, orbiting
the planet’s intersecting
plane of ecliptic motion,
determining the
latitude of night,

I’m a noddy, a simpleton;
a fool dissuaded
by my own ordained
position in life
with working hours
of a nihilist on nitrous oxide,

miscellaneous information
in confused measures
enunciated clear and warm,

safe at first, but caught
out-in no man’s land
in retribution of words
that come from spheres
of pain within me,

time in a bottle,
sailed, and long sunken
in a galaxy,

It makes no sense
until I start sweeping
the floor, make the gravy,
or let the dog out to go pee.
