Perseverance
Eamon De Valera was an Irish political leader. Like many Irish political leaders he spent some time in British prison. Once he was arrested for an inflammatory speech that he made at Ennis in County Clare; his sentence was a year. Upon his release he returned to Ennis. He began his speech with these words: “As I was saying when I was interrupted."
