SOMERSET WISCONSIN   (My submission to the French, language of love contest)

I grew up in Somerset Wisconsin
An ethnic village of French Canadians
I miss warm bowls of soupe aux pois
On a cold winter’s day
Those memories make me
Wish once again I was a boy
Living on the banks of the beautiful fleuve
Father Hennepin named the ‘St. Croix’
