Three Ghosts

 
I have three ghosts
They visit me regularly
They mostly come at night
Mostly;
They come to give me fright
To shock me from inertia
To motivate my lazy spirit
They are righteous ghosts
Holy spirits if you will
Or even if you won’t;
They never knock
They never write
They never phone
They just arrive like
Post it note reminders
Of nothing but bad memories

First,
Is the spirit of my childhood
Imprisoned by evil
Tortured for it’s gratification
In the name of
And in sight of
The Lord of Hosts
No time for playtime
The child;
Only a forgotten mist
A haze of screaming
A fogbank of pleading
A cloud of fearful tears
A childhood raped from
It’s very own mind and soul
This ghost is life’s hindrance
And serves to increase bitterness




My Second,
Is the spirit of a misspent youth
Almost free from tyranny
But not quite;
Like a mouse with a cat
I am toyed with and violated
A good looking boy, easily forced
Youth taken by force
Only a forgotten mist
A haze of shouting no
A fog of tearful pleading
A storm cloud of the Rage
An easily misspent youth
Forcibly misspent by others
This Ghost is soft and hard core
And serves my ire and hatred

My Third,
Is the spirit of adulthood
Freedom now, for revenge
None undertaken?
A sad and lonely social misfit
Can’t talk to anyone
Scared of spiders
Scared of women
Really scared of spider women
Yet full of anger and murderous rage
Murder, death, kill, smile
Only a forgotten mist
A haze of hidden thoughts
A fog of evil intent
A cloud of personal injustice
Adulthood infected by past evils
All interactions affected
This ghost is a total bastard
I could easily kick it’s ass
It serves no aces
