Skies Will Die
I have spoken to God and he has abandoned us.
no man can enter heaven ever again.
under the ocean is where everyone ends up.
rotting flesh that absorbs enough salt to kill just about anything.
this I know, I feel it in my bones.
we are all separate islands that will eventually die alone.
So forgive the skies.
they'll weep for you when it is your time.
and this knowledge comes with a price.
the ocean hungers for me tonight.
I don't wish to beg for mercy.
I merely ask why
why should we continue to live like we're dying
and die when you feel it's right?
a shift in power balances could be a solution.
maybe you should start asking for advice.
Could you forgive the skies
Will you weep for me when it is my time?
Because this knowledge comes with a price.
the ocean is calling for me tonight.
no man can enter heaven ever again.
under the ocean is where everyone ends up.
rotting flesh that absorbs enough salt to kill just about anything.
this I know, I feel it in my bones.
we are all separate islands that will eventually die alone.
