In memory of my sweet little one

you were such a sweet, good, and beautiful little kitten
gracious and courageous too despite your weak health
I knew the first time I held you in my arms that you were
meant to be in my life and I felt that special connection
we had right from the start on that fateful day back in July
I loved everything about you -- all your sweet, endearing
little ways and even your poop did not smell bad to me
a big hole remains in my heart now that you're gone
and sometimes I can't help but weep intensely when
I think of your loss --  but more than that I know
I will carry you in my heart forever and I am
determined to celebrate the memory of your short life
rather than just mourn it --
