Yes, that is true.
It finds you and keeps you coming back for more.
My early days in NYC found me in many a small smokey clubs listening to some of best jazz ever.
My hero is Woody Shaw. Saw a double bill once with him and Yusef Lateef at the Top of the Gate on Bleecker Street. Gives me chills when I think of the musical mayhem that went on in there ....
