The Rain (2014)

Forever was the word we used
Who would have ever thought that forever was such a short time?
As I look back to the corners of my mind I’m trying to decide if I was in love
Or if in fact was that love blind
I remember when we would watch Bill Cosby
And say that’s how we are going to be
We no one would have ever thought
That there would be an end to our unity
We could have had something special
It was almost perfect besides the things we couldn’t let go
You did your wrong
And I did mine too
Now our hearts live in so much pain
We are human so we will make mistakes
No we both act like we don’t care
After being selfish
And loving reckless
It’s best that we just let it go
I never thought that we would be apart
And even with a broken heart
How did we let our love get away?
We hide our tears in the rain
What ever happened to our yesterday?
Never thought we’d let it get away
A future may have faded away
