Curse him

God took the beauty of the sunset,
the importance of something you'd never forget
He took the swiftness of a bullet from a gun
and the radiance of the sun

He stole the fluency of music
And the smooth flow of stories.
He robbed the riches of the Earth
And the purity from birth

God gave her the gift of knowledge
From the depths of his realm
She was an angel made to live here
a saviour to many, who hold her dear

Then he took the darkness from caves
The regret from mistakes and the agony from pain
The sadness from misery and solitude from isolation
As well as immorality from corruption

He took the hate from vengeance,
The end from endless,
The ruthlessness from wild animals
And the fallibility from humans

He took the heartlessness from cold-bloods
And the saltiness from the sea
He took sensitivity and negativity
And then created me.

I was her Adam
She was my Eve
But we were never together
Never, ever to be
