Masks and Shades
Behind all your masks and shades
Of cruelty and hate
Is a child, unloved, afraid
A lover burnt, betrayed
A soul that shivers and aches
I see the cracks in your gait
Push away love as you deteriorate
The monster who scared them away
But through your icy Blades
That destroy anything in their way
I see a heart slowly break
Its a child crying, alone and afraid
