Chance To Take

When I turn my face to the rising sun
they tell me to look away or I will burn
but I love the glow as it comes over the hills
and they say it isn't worth chasing the horizon
cause the edge will only get farther away
but I take my stand and I'm running
for something, just trying to find my place

I swear I won't shed a tear for what has passed
already been down such a road, had enough of that
there's so much more promised beyond what I can see
so i look not with my eyes but my heart, and i believe
in hope, in dreams, in the simplest beauty that sings
out from the rafters of a forgotten castle
built on the hope of ever after
maybe I'm living in my dreams or just in the moment
I say I'm living for tomorrow just because I can
every day is a chance to take

As I fix my sails to lead me home
they break my compass to keep me wandering on
but I brave the seas straight through the storms
and i don't mind a little rain for clouds will part
cause the only way to know is to try
so if my ship sinks I wil fly
until I find, a safe haven when I am free

I swear I won't shed a tear for what has passed
already been down such a road, had enough of that
there's so much more promised beyond what I can see
so i look not with my eyes but my heart, and i believe
in hope, in dreams, in the simplest beauty that sings
out from the rafters of a forgotten castle
built on the hope of ever after
maybe I'm living in my dreams or just in the moment
I say I'm living for tomorrow just because I can
every day is a chance to take
