The Bird or the Cage?
A dove flying free,
taunts the caged canary
that sings all alone.
A homeless dove,
envies the caged canary
whom has a home of it's own.
The dove flying free,
taunts the caged canary
whose wings have been clipped.
The homeless dove,
envies the caged canary
who never has to build it's own nest.
The dove flies free.
The canary sits caged.
The dove is homeless.
The canary has a home.
One is inside bars of a cage, inside of a home.
The other is in the air, out in the cold.
How odd is it what a bit of perspective can do?
Hopefully the canary and the dove have taught us something.
A timeless tale, that will hopefully only get better with age.
About the grass always seeming greener on the otherside.
Just like it did, in this instance.

Sounds like a classic parable that might be told to us at a young age, so that we begin life wiser than those who came before us. Great write and nice lesson. It makes us all children because we all still face this issue. We still need to sit down for a minute and listen to a tale about how the key to happiness and a fruitful life is perception, not superficial things that we can see. Loved it.

At first it was only going to be one sided but I've been in a kick where there's a side to everyone's story, so I decided to change it and add the Dove's part as well which in the end made it more whole.
