Tattered Thoughts
Fate can be seen
through the clouds
of irony after the
reign of coincidence.
The deepest understanding
in life; nobody knows why.
What could be so important
that it wake me from my dreams,
all those things that have gone wrong,
all those things that are left behind.
through the clouds
of irony after the
reign of coincidence.
The deepest understanding
in life; nobody knows why.
What could be so important
that it wake me from my dreams,
all those things that have gone wrong,
all those things that are left behind.

Its great that you can relate - you might write about it sometime. Seeing your thoughts in the open is a good thing. I really appreciate the read. Thank you so much. It's very interesting, and a bit of this paradox that we like to call irony, that we recognize our own thoughts in others, "...perhaps because what is good belongs to no one...but rather to the language and to tradition." Jorge Luis Borges, "Borges and I"

Nobody really knows why about a lot of things especially when we are talking about Fate. In this world of ours, everything seems to happen for a reason and we learn to live with it or we simply decide to go the other way!
Nice work, Pisashee...

I notice strange things too. It's usually just sort of funny though. I hope. :)

re: Re: Tattered Thoughts
I think that these are just manifestations of our minds and it comes out in language that has evolved throughout history. We humans have consciousness to recognize patterns in and of life, and it’s what we've had for centuries to make sense of the world and the universe that we live in. Nietzsche said that consciousness is a calamitous stupidity, and certainly he was spot-on(more some days than others, admittedly). Personally, it’s just something that I've been really interested in; patterns of life and behavior that cause us to think the way we do, and those patterns and behavior do cause things to happen. You can tell yourself that something good or bad will happen and because your mind has focused on that, more than likely it will become reality (self-fulfilled prophecy and all that sort of thing). I believe in the power of thought. For instance, if we’re told certain things as children, then we live our lives looking for those things and they become patterns of our mind and behaviors, and this causes us to notice those certain things – over and over; it’s a cycle. It’s not a good or bad thing really, it’s just how our minds work as human beings, and they don't have a choice except to work that way. But then again, people do use these things as fear factors and selling points for “my moons in Aquarius and Libra” and such things like that - I don't agree with it because that is untruthful, but maybe they believe such things….. 2,000 years of scientific movement steady and strong with accurate observation backed with today's explicit mathematics, and we're still using the moon over Uranus to check which day is good for a haircut, its all myth and superstition to me. This is my truthful, and unpoetic take on it: Fate and destiny are intangible(words); life and death is the for certain fate and destiny – irony can be used as a mechanism for writers to convey a story. Although, truth is stranger than fiction, admittedly, and it gets even weirder after it’s written and then it really happens; Edgar Allen Poe comes to mind; however strange, that man was plugged into the universe with his mind, spooky man. He wrote great irony, purposefully, and yet he wrote other stories as well that actually came to pass long after the stories were written – strange things. I don't know - perhaps its true that we're all just some kids science project sitting in a jar on a shelf in a galaxy about four milky ways over to the left. Now I'm just yappin. Its interesting is all.
