Sometimes a cock,
dawn-hard to the touch, is pressed down
and thrust in deep, so she will reveille
to a sharp awakening call that leaves her clinging
darkly to a shadowy form that has such news:
tidings to be repeated over and over,
with each thrust adding to the debate,
as that cock will have her
spread.
