Don't flatter me :-). There are so many haiku creators on DU whose haikus are superior to mine. But I thank you nonetheless and appreciate YOUR approval :-)!

Thanks, dear JeJe! Love spring most but the colors of autumn are beautiful, too.

Miss Chi,
I can almost feel the crispness in your words! Good luck in the comp!

I personally prefer spring to autumn but yes, the autumn colors are indeed stunning. The pic is taken in an arboretum near Hamburg. Thanks, xmar82, for liking it!

"fireworks" sounds apt viewed alongside the picture of the trees, which look like bursting standing fireworks.

I had in mind exactly this pic when writing the haiku, Solomon. It helped a lot.

Hehe, I can imagine you kicking leaves and it conjures a smile on my face :-). Thanks for that, Paul.

The words were first but surely I somehow had in mind those trees in an arboretum near Hamburg :-).

came to have a look see after reading a comp thread.
it takes talent to say a lot with few words, there's a nice confidence about your voice and it works well with the type of poetry you prefer.
good stuff, Mis

Oh! That's an honor for me you stopped by because of a comp thread. Could have said, no thanks, Miss Chi :-).
I tried free verse and sometimes it works. But mostly I'm "stuck" with 17 syllables. I simply love haikus, that's why. Thank you for your kind and warm words, CraicDealer. I appreciate them!
