The Mother of the Abyss

Kingu, Edimmu
Rise to dominate
Kur, Usumgallu
Rise to devastate

The dark reign of the ancient ones
Power hungry with in the hands of time
Abominations spawned from her womb
Under the watchful eye as Anu pined

Unchained, her deathly caress
The mother of the abyss

The black waters churned with evil
As she watched in glorious malcontent
For a sign of the weakening gods
Tiamat screamed ‘til her curses were spent

Bloodshot eyes burning with flame
As her mouth smells of the grave

Abzu in primordial throes
Unholy union with Tiamat
Eternal Tablet of Destinies
Signified her rule of decay and rot

Deities divide the earth and skies
And witness the woes and cries
Her wrath brings about destruction
Behold, O, as Tiamat rises

Kingu, Edimmu
Rise to dominate
Kur, Usumgallu
Rise to devastate

Marching across the desert sands
Are eternal armies of darkness
To bring about the ruin of gods
Made undone by the great serpent’s kiss

Consume with the monster’s bliss
The mother of the abyss

Abomination offspring crave
Dying flesh of weakened deities
The great abyss eagerly awaits
As the world is forced unto its knees

Kingu, Edimmu
Rise to dominate
Kur, Usumgallu
Rise to devastate

Deities divide the earth and skies
And witness the woes and cries
Her wrath brings about destruction
Behold, O, as Tiamat rises
