Cone of Silence
You captivated others
With those fancy stories
Catching ears, for all to hear
A master of telling lies
You believed them yourself
Woe is me, give all to me
Found yourself down now, face down on the ground, the bitter taste of dirt and leaves
All alone and now, hearing it all sound, the cone of silence deafening
Hallucinate now, the silence is loud, when no one you love is around
Forced everyone out, walls began to pound, I’d rather live without your fucking world
I will not, I can not
Believe your lies anymore
I can not, I will not
Believe your lies anymore
Give one reason to believe
But you just can’t do that
Tell the truth, it forces you
To show your true face to us
And burn another bridge
Compels lies, made to deny
The ashes smolder, as your bridges burn, there is no way you can go back
Desperate lying, ashamed and crying, you planted the knife in the dark
You take and you try, ‘til you bled me dry, perfectly destroying my trust
But still I trust you, watch as the void grew, you’re all alone in the cone of silence

Are earned not given
When taken away

Wow. While I honestly do not know who this poem is/or was intended to, Sir Hades, but it sure packed one hell of a punch! Good for you (if you're venting anger, that is). But bad for the person on the receiving end. Enjoyed the read. xo, Devlin.

I'm not really a name caller but this person deep down knows who they are and if they can live with their wrongs then I can live without them. I have to believe that one day it will slap them in the face and they'll say, "Wow, I really fucked up."
