The Bloodiest Hands
You called it a gift when you gave us emotion
Demand our Love and eternal devotion
This gift is a curse in a devastating place
a land of corruption, a world of disgrace
The promise of hell if we don't remember your name
Believe the unseen and keep faith through the pain
Are we like pets to you? or your greatest invention?
If you're not angry at us, you're not paying attention
I wish you were a man, I wish you were real
With a beating heart and no choice but to feel
Maybe then you would know what you have done
Understand why and what we have become
I have seen beauty and love, this much is true
Will I see more when the confusion is through?
Feel the heat of the flames and hear screams of the damned?
I fear life much more than what death has planned
What is to fear about the moment of death?
We have all been dying since our first breath
The hardest part of life is not pain or fear
It is the un-answered question, why are we here?
Why should we obey your ten commands?
You are the one with the bloodiest hands
Demand our Love and eternal devotion
This gift is a curse in a devastating place

The promise of hell if we don't remember your name
