Song Gone Sour

The place where we use to sing,
There you now hide and cry,
You no longer spread your beautiful wings,
You have given up trying to fly.

Why in the world do you hurt yourself?
And leave that pretty skin in dents,
No one turns down a call for help,
To who exactly does your anger vent?

Things won't always go our peaceful way,
The world prepares a surprise for all,
But if by impetuous feelings we stray,
Then to me that's an ignoble fall.

For everyman can relate with victory,
Only the mighty can bear defeat,
A loser will turn back and give up completely,
A winner tries until he comes out of it.

And you were once my motivation;
It hurts so much to see you so weak,
Powerful words once flowed from your oration,
Now it's shameful to talk about the things you speak.

Misdirected energy and purposeless grudge,
Shackled creativity in a self-made cell,
I look and I ponder on what in the world,
Will make an angel settle for hell...

You have enclosed yourself inside your own thoughts,
But why do you feel so different?
Stiff necked,every single call,
Rebounds against a massive iron giant.

Of paranoia and self delusion;
You have left your soul to toss,
In despair,distress,and endless commotion...
And your happiness has suffered most.

Day in day out in tears you grumble;
Well,maybe that is somehow cool,
But in all still you haven't crumbled,
I will tell you exactly what you must do.

You must look away from the ugly side,
And focus on what makes you happy,
But it's all up to you to decide,
Inner tranquility or anarchy.

But the sadness appeals most to you,
So you dwell on painful past,
Never can any get through to you,
How long will this misery last?

Thus you have soiled our sacred place;
It use to be a place of happy songs,
Now in the cruelest twist of fate,
It's now a harbor of bitter tongue.
