Taken

A mellow haunting through my days,
The decrepit hum of memories washed down with Merlot from Mendoza,
Two glasses, only one ever drank from,
As dreams fortified for war rain down into cracks that gasp; astonished by kisses sent from heaven.
Scratch at my will,
It is threadbare and so unsightly that its distorted figure I no longer recognise,
If I were only man to act; I would break the crack and finish this here day,
A signature made; like a forget-me-not’s plea,
Unaware to be alone and blaming all until reunited,
Proof quiet voices can be heard, so I listen, everyday,
I won’t move on,
Please aged hum,
don’t break.
