Storks
Beautiful storks, are you going to Africa?
I was glad by your visit at home last night
To warm you, I have invited you to drink vodka
But you said me, with long fly, it is not right
How many you were on the roof of my city?
Some people said : "more than two hundred"
But you were here at night and very busy
To find the best roof to install your bed
Beautiful storks, are you going to south?
Take care of you during your long flight
And stop to close noisely your long mouth
Because you have awaked me during the night!
Hope for you a nice and long winter in warm
Take care to you, in spite of your charm
Some people loves to keep you in kitchen
For meals, you are not like a big chicken

There was something awe inspiring for me in the reading - but I love the subject, admittedly, and that picture is spectacular. Just simple humility. But it's interesting about the vodka; love that line. But I just wonder how they truly got such a reputation.. :) Great poem malin.

Thank you so much for your nice comment. Storks in France have a nice function in nursery : we explain to children they bring babies for the birth! Then, they are very respectable birds. I am not sure they drink Vodka, but it rhymes with Africa, very useful for my poem. Hope they forgive me about this fake reputation!
Unfortunately, in some countries of Africa, they eat storks, herons and flamingoes! Reason of my last stanza!
