Ready
I used to think I was stupid
Who knew I’d want to give my entire life to someone at 20
Who knew I’d spend most of my time thinking about your eyes
Or the way you moved your hair out of your face
I thought love should be preserved until you’re “ready"
But I guess when you find somebody who replaces the spiders with butterflies in your stomach
You’re finally “ready”.
Whatever that means
All I know is that I’m only 20,
But I can’t wait to understand the meaning of being "ready"
With you
