You have enthralled me
With your wit and beauty
Your essence feeds my soul
For you I’d build a ladder
To heaven
For just one hold
I’d weather the arrows and
Angel’s lances with fury’s untold
To climb the gates of heaven
I’d dare to be this bold
To heresy I’d shout
Be damned!  If you must
Invite, God’s fury
Upon my head but let
The judgments be just
And know that I will
Never give up this beauty
Until you strike me dead
And with my ethereal will
I’ll dare to boast
I will haunt this golden gate
As a heartbroken ghost
