Keeping it Safe.
If your reading this poem,
Addressed to you,
I'm keeping your heart safe,
Like you told me to.
They can shoot their diamond bullets,
Right to your precious chest,
But hurt your heart,
They never will.
They only put my love to the test.
I'll scratch their diamond bullets,
That tried to break the best,
I'll shatter them like stained glass,
To prove their plan was faulty, as were all the rest.
If you're reading this poem,
Addressed only to you,
I'm protecting your heart,
Deflecting bullets,
Just like you asked me to.
Addressed to you,
I'm keeping your heart safe,
Like you told me to.
They can shoot their diamond bullets,
Right to your precious chest,
But hurt your heart,
They never will.
They only put my love to the test.
I'll scratch their diamond bullets,
That tried to break the best,
I'll shatter them like stained glass,
To prove their plan was faulty, as were all the rest.
If you're reading this poem,
Addressed only to you,
I'm protecting your heart,
Deflecting bullets,
Just like you asked me to.
