Pishashee, luv :-* ~
This poem is a little hidden jewel.
I feel rather like someone happening upon a djinn's treasure cavern and finding the one sole item of immense and priceless, exquisite perfection hidden away in plain sight.
Such self-containment in this poem: you capture so many layers of meaning. I see the superficial. You speak of the wax so beautifully, magnificently in the subtle comparison to flowering and their little deaths with petals lost, then you go deeper addressing a lost age of time when candelabra were a fixture and things like fortitude and, finally, enlightenment were bywords. You deftly interweave these images in this tiny self-contained gem of a piece.
Now, perhaps you didn't mean any of this, the words merely beckoned, called to you and you arranged them as they spoke within your soul. No matter. The muse imbued you.
You astound me. I am humbled in your presence.

For me this is a great reflection - metaphor - for our own inevitable fate ... It burns slowly.

valor & wisdom melting away. a slow progression that nonetheless advances too quickly...

finally gettin'round to ran'dumbly absorbing 'you'.
I don't like 'having opinions' about other's creations, thus further participating in our idiot-human-trick of 'believing in' my/our conditioning to percieve the toxicity of (my/our)
dualistically delusive human ego.......
leave us just say 'eye like' this write

That is the truth, and I feel the same way. I feel like an outsider most of the time, but that's anywhere - I'll always talk though. Your comments are always so welcome. Thank you.

That's a great analogy.
I'm feeling it tonight.
I'm ready asylum, take me away.
