I had a girl talk with Emily
Locked up in her room
About a guy who's courting her
Named Death Doom

Then her sister knocks
Saying Sylvia is there
We opened the locks
She's baking cookies downstairs

Together we went down
And asked Sylvia
If she wants to go to town
To see our friend Virginia

We waited for the treats to cook
And went on our way
We waved at Winston
Walking his black dog this sunny day

We saw Ernest
With his shot gun
He's out to hunt pigeons
He found it fun

On we walked 'till we reached Virginia's
She said that it seemed
Like a nice day to swim
And so we left for the river

We arrived at the river
The water so clear, so cold
But what a way to combat
The caging heat of the air

We stood there
Contemplating
Took a deep breath
Jumped into the river

I never felt better.
