Sgeulachd of Love

Ben and brae shadow the boggy moors and fields of heather
Auld bones lay upon their bed of soft fur and downy feather.
In a glen hugging base of Aonach Mor, a hame of wood and earth
Happy memories made in the warm licht cast from a loving hearth
A Highlander and his wee bonnie Lass, together in life as in death
"Tha gaol agam ort" whispered upon their dying breath.
They rise above the Standing Stones of Stennese, and over the Black Isle
Rays of light that twirl and birl while traveling their heavenly mile.
These souls not a fate to live and die, but to be reborn again
And so they come back down to earth and join the mortal stain
Life after life searching for the other, each straining for content
In leaving their mortal coil, each hopeful in another rise and decent
With serendipity’s magic, a deep connection upon a call
Minds never knew what they were searching, the Hearts may have found it all
As twa old souls reach across time and distance to reunite in this place
Kindred spirits who’ve long waited, for this loving and completing embrace.

*** Feeling very happy thanks to my Sunshine
