Dark water

Wrap myself in darkness and swallow dark clouds, one wet kiss at a time I drown. Echoes and faint screams like a head injury during a disaster I have to reach my feet before more debris hits me. I look up at the towers and the Titans that fight them, every time I blink it goes from night time to day time. A city in ruins, was peaceful just minutes ago. Who struck the ground with the staff? What fault line did you find in the cracks? I am the cold of space I do embody the black. A fist of cold anger in a sea of despair, afloat alone in the palm of a hand. We drink the water, we eat the salt, the survivors don't bother searching for land. I steady my shakes with a shaking hand and greet the blank horizon. It's neither light or dark, but color is absent, I sail toward the edge and feel sick about it. The hammer blows make rhythm, the dingy chords collide and I sink while I'm hugging my heart. Well keep warm, together, body heat is out only chance to survive.. Cut ties with the sunrise, I need the yellow the gold the glory! Slit the throat of the yawning skyline, this is war that I'm never losing! I am tattered, I am ruined, dragging mud through the infinite white, the is a desert, with solid marble floors, I have escaped the night. It must be raining but the water don't stick, it must be daylight but there are no shadows. I grip myself tight, I can't see straight, a sword does nothing to arrows... A voice calls and it knows my name, I see a flame and speaks so lovingly, unquenched, unlike me, prostrate, debased humility. I'm trapped, at home invisible, a ghost in the spotlight.
