30 Tarnished Silver: The Cost of a Broken Messiah

My hands are stained red
With the blood of man
And blackened by the touch
Of thirty tarnished silver

Such is the price of life
So wasted and fleeting
Crime without punishment
When a man is cheating

Brothers, aboard on a quest to spread the word of laws
Written by men, such as I, broken with sinning and flaws
Stripped down to the core, is there nothing inside
This wrecked and feeble shell with the devil on my side?
A crown woven with thorns awaiting my brother
On a blood-stained cross erected by man for another
Slaughter of the charlatans by the will of lords
Begone false prophets to the deepest hell with your words
People gather around me to watch with grim eyes
As the highest soldiers prepare to smite the speaker of lies

Behold, the riches flow with betrayal
I will see you, my brother, in hell

You speak of forgiveness with a knife in your back
But keep your pity for it is sentiment that I lack
I ask for none and I will not accept your hand
As it offers me peace, I spit as a beast from the sands
The Judas in me labors the absolute truth
That never in all of my days could I be just like you
I was born of another mold of betrayal
Like a cool wind blowing tattered and plagued black sails
A gilded god, I will lay in my tomb of gold
As you, a broken messiah, rots away in his mold

Behold, the riches flow with betrayal
I will see you, my brother, in hell

Such is the price of life
So wasted and fleeting
Crime without punishment
When a man is cheating

I have never seen
Your miracles
As one of your flock
Your disciples
I never asked
To be your friend
To be a follower
It is all so simple
To sell you out
One of your own
Disciples

My hands are stained red
With the blood of man
And blackened by the touch
Of thirty tarnished silver

Now with this bag of silver you will be damned
All for the love you feel and the sinning of man
I feel no remorse for my course actions
To choose the left hand road against your broken faction
Look at our past, ask yourself one simple question
Which of us betrayed who in your quest for that heaven
That seems out of reach even for a man like you
Supposedly favored by your lord
Now who betrayed who?

Behold, the blood flows with betrayal
Together, my brother, burned in hell
