Sewer Kids

The sewer kids live
Beneath the streets of
Bogota, Colombia,
Suspended three feet
Above a river of shit
On make shift beds.

Due to an excess of
"feral children",
Death squads were
Hired by the rich
In the name of
"Social cleansing".

So they went below,
Only to come out at
Night to scrounge up
What they can.

They smoke a mixture of
Chemicals and crack,
Taking the good feelings
Left for them to have.

Never knowing better,
They live like that--
Outcasted and Unwanted.
