Waiting
I am a constant figure in my life
and people keep passing me by
and I sit still watching the close ones transform
from battering eyelashes to demon eyes
and I fill up my mind with the hope of some kind
that these good people wont harden like ice
and shape shift into those ferocious creatures that summon me in the night
And I am the constant sitter; inanimate and out of sight
I look for those that suffer
Those I know wont win the fight
And I learn the ways between my days and nights
Because I don't want to run into someone I don't like
And i'll sit quietly until I know which one is right
and people keep passing me by
and I sit still watching the close ones transform
from battering eyelashes to demon eyes
and I fill up my mind with the hope of some kind
that these good people wont harden like ice
and shape shift into those ferocious creatures that summon me in the night
And I am the constant sitter; inanimate and out of sight
I look for those that suffer
Those I know wont win the fight
And I learn the ways between my days and nights
Because I don't want to run into someone I don't like
And i'll sit quietly until I know which one is right
