Back on task

Back on task:
The sax is in my mind now and playing my soul, as the musician hits the parts of me that makes me smile
Stress was more than I could handle, but now I can breathe, and the storm passed and I am happy
I am back on task and I can do this, it’s not as bad as it once seemed
My focus is clear, and I can get things rolling into the next gear, I’m not rolling down the highway
Anymore, I am rolling the right way up, to where I am meant to be, no haunting memories to confine me
I can hold this down, I do not need to back up and start again, I just needed time and I needed to get out
The sax is in my head and the jazz is playing I feel the rhythm and I am done dancing I am focused again
I got this down and I know where I am at now
The stress was more than I could handle, now I can breathe the storm had passed I am free
I am back on task, I don’t think I am every falling back; sometimes something happens that ends all that
I am rolling the right way up, to where I am meant to be, no more haunting memories to confine me
I will not go back to those dark days, I am looking straight ahead and damn I am so happy
The jazz is playing, and my bed needs made, my house needs cleaning, and I feel like hell I can do it
Another day
The sax is in my mind now and playing my soul, as the musician hits the parts of me that makes me smile
