Jesus Christ Is At Your Party

Picture this if you will
And imagine your internal thrill
When you are hosting a swanky event
And a guy walks in who’s invite you sent
On a whim, Jesus christs that guy
And your gonna make sure his glass is never dry

Anyway the night goes on just as expected
But then you find Jesus himself as elected
To change the punch you spent hours creating
To some fancy cocktail of his own making
Oh it was nothing he says when confronted
I’m only doing what everyone else wanted
Mines a lot smoother got no aftertaste that lingers
And it was no sweat at all just a click of my fingers

He moves through the crowd as though held up by wings
And you start to notice a few other things

All the nibbles on trays don’t seem to be running out
So you pop to the kitchen to see what that’s about
All the food you bought for your guests to enjoy
Is still on the counter waiting to be deployed
It seems the messiah has taken it upon himself
To restock all the food, leaving yours on the shelf
Which would be fine, had you known
But you didn’t, you don’t condone
His actions, now your foods gone to waste
It can’t be refrozen and is losing it’s taste
All because of Jesus doing miracles cos he can
Showing off at your party’s hardly part of gods plan.

So you go hunt him down, he’s attracted a crowd
Is stood on a table, and is being quite loud
He’s telling one of his tales that involve metaphor
Where you work out the meaning and what it’s all for
But really all they do is weed out the thick
Everyone else who does this you consider a dick
But you wait for him to finish and wait for the applause
He’s presumably converted atleast 20 to his cause

You think about what to say and suggest he be more normal
A little less godlike but his response is far to formal
It’s clear he thinks he’s above your event
He looks you in the eye and says from which god where you sent?

And that’s all you need you know when you’ve lost
And you really don’t want to know what he can do when he’s crossed
You go sit in a corner and have a drink
And take this time to really have a think
About why you invited a deity in the first place
When all he has done is made you look like a disgrace
Because he felt like it
And who would believe you? He’d never admit it
You gaze to the garden and you see his grace
Stood on your pool looking at you, with a grin on his face
Daring you to come out and stand with him
When he knows full well you can only go for a swim
You decide to go and sulk in the other room
God you hope this smug prick will leave soon.
