Babygirl and me

Babygirl and me:
The wolf lives to survive, many say they are killers, and stalk around at night
People talk of things they do not understand, they fear them even more
I watched a pack run, and dance at night, screaming at the moon because they wanted to
I have to admit, I did to
They accepted me, when the people just push me away
I guess it is the fear that runs through their veins; people fear things they do not understand
My ancestors were slaughtered; they were forced to undergo immigration in their own home land
My ancestors had to change their sacred names; we had to become what invaders said we must
But we kept the most important thing to us, they couldn’t see it so they couldn’t take it, but they do fear
It, our animal nature within, our soul that always and forever lives, our presence, and our connection to
Mother Earth
We run, we run, we run, we run, we run, we are pride in our own; we are pride for everyone we have
The source, we are the source, we speak with no words, we sing to the heavens, to the land, to the sea,
To the rivers and lakes, to the thunder, to the rain, to the angry wind, to the sun, and the moon, we are
Humble to our own, we are fierce you haven’t any clue, we are like the wolf, the owl the snake the fox
The eagle the hawk the badger the fish the buffalo, the most small to the magnificent, we are the blood
Line to truth we are the ones who can hear the voices calling out from the past present and future to
We are the ones who can hear the cries of pain, from all the living that you people think don’t feel a
Thing
You wonder why we are so angry, why so mad, why feeling like it’s really that bad
Because if you had the touch and you could hear it to you would go insane at what the pain of earth is
Going through, I see you for who you are I will not ask you to see the same in me, your eyes are blind
You cannot see this is not a sight from your eyes to me it’s the vein that connects all life to the dead
And living, it’s a shared blood that travels with the essence of energy, called nature and you’re either
Born with it or not, you cannot learn to be a line to life, the same as you cannot learn to be proud to
Die, sure you can be taught to shoot and kill, you can be taught to take what you want at will,
You can be taught to rip innocents to shreds, but you cannot be taught to defend the living and dead,
It’s in your essence, it’s in your veins, it’s in your soul, you’re either born with it or you are not,
I ran with the wolf, she came when I needed her, she taught me to be strong to care for my pack, and
Protect with my being, her time with me rewarding yet to brief, people took her away and bred her with
A male, now she is in a zoo, Columbus Ohio for fact, sad what they do but they did it to my ancestors to,
They mixed us to be pale, and to have light eyes to, that’s why my green eyes are a curse to me, and my
Own dad hates my skin, but I have something they could not take away, I have something they could not
See, I have the line to mother earth and she is connected to me,
I do not drink my pains away; I embrace each memory, and let it keep my weakness at bay,
I must confess, I did fall in love once, but I am breathing deep to get me back from his hands
I plead to the spirits, and all that is in me, I will be strong again
Like my wolf I was caught off guard, but it just makes me stronger
