Like the Rain

Like the rain:
How can I put this?
I want to be gentle now
I want to be understood somehow
How do you understand the rain?
Most normal people break it down to a science
I can understand that and to be frank, I do it�s basically
Heat from the sun causing moisture in the ground to evaporate
The ground also heats the air above it.
Water vapors rise
Then cools and condenses into clouds
And boom

I am not that normal person
Though I can understand you
This does not mean you understand me
I see rain in a different way; I see it is depth and purpose
I see the song in the rain
I see the emotion, and love, and pain, and anger behind the force of the rain
I see the climax and release
I feel the point of no return when it mixes into the perfect storm
I do not anticipate what is going to become of such a union
I just lay and wait for the communion

I relish in its joy and wash in its pure energy force
Called nature
Like all nature I am
I cannot live to your standards, or your clock, I am not time
I just am
Like the rain crazy hard and flooding the street and
Then a drizzle on a window pane
You can call it how you choose I am ok with whatever you need to do
I have gotten to where I am just being who I am
I do not need your time or your mind
I do not need you to try to understand me
I understand me and that�s all I need
I am who I am
Break me up into numbers; take me down to the science
Whatever gives you comfort in the end
I am just me like the rain
I can wash you clean
From all those torments you have locked into your brain
But please don�t waste my time trying to understand me
