The mother I am

The mother I am:
Have you ever noticed the beauty in getting really dirty?
Have you taken the time to feel the cool mud on your body after a hard rain?
You no after the dances end, and it’s no longer pouring
All that’s left are the drizzles, and the mud, and you
I know it’s not easy for just anybody; you have to still have that child within,
You have to have held onto some of your innocence from back then
You have to not care who the hell is looking
I love the mud after I dance in the rain, and I feel the coldness on my skin
I don’t care who could be looking, I no they wish they had the balls to come jump in
Maybe that’s why I am a mother now, to teach my kids, to do whatever at the moment touches them to
We laugh, and get as dirty as we can, it doesn’t matter were just having fun, and loving to live
Nothing is bad; nothing is wrong, nothing, if you’re not hurting anyone
We play, we laugh, we wrestle, and I sometimes win at that, we get dirty, and we live
We don’t stress anything that’s not worth stressing
That usually something you don’t have the power to change, and we just play
My kids will warn you, mom is mom, and if you come over you will be surprised by our life
We do not stress the things we cannot change, we like to get dirty and we always laugh and play
And if this intimidates you, you might not want to come over
Mom is loud, and not shy if you embarrass easy you might want to think twice
You never know what mom might say or do, but
My mom she will like you, and she will always stand by you, and she is weird but, dependable
She likes to dance in the rain, wrestle in the mud, laugh all day, sit by candle light and tell stories,
Roast marshmallows on the fire, and loves all kids, my mom is just mom we no she is not the same
As everyone else is
