Something Better

Maybe I'm doing this wrong
You see, I don't dream
about you. The songs and
the ranting poets
say it must be so.

Maybe, I'm doing this right
I don't need to dream you
for real is something
better than I could
dream.

And then...

You tell me you believe in me
because I make dreams
real. So maybe, just maybe
it's ok to dream about
our real.

But I don't know that I can dream that big.
So, here is where that Trust
really comes into play.
Let's dream it together,

Let's make something even better than real.
