Assumptions

The old saying goes.....
When you assume something
You make an "ass" out of "u" and "me"
Wow....could that be more true?
 
We can over hear a remark
In our gut know it's about us
All the details we were able to hear seem to fit
But its our own perception that truly make us blue
 
We can see somebody staring at us
From on the other side of the room
According to our own mood we decide
Do they like what they see or am i shrew?
 
A musician that you know can write a song
Are you guilty of loving him from afar?
Your own feelings may be exactly what you are hearing
Just take a step back and get a clue
 
We can read a poem and come to our own conclusions
Assume the words good or bad are what we inspired
Unless we are the poet or in their head we truly dont know
So don't be guilty of making an ass out of "me" or "u"
 
When u read these lines did a red flag go up
Only you know if you are the guilty one
That read too much between my lines
