Lost but unafraid
Alone but content
Numb but safe
Warm and secure in the darkness
Then something begins to stir
Are you ready?
Who’s there?
No time,
We begin
Pain, pain
Searing and bright
Pain, pain
Burning and white
Where am I going?
Then wonder amazement and new things growing
Smiles, reality, submission and disappointment flowing
Disappointment, disappointment and pain
Finally
Numb in the darkness, once again
This is life?

Agreed, I wrote it when I was going through my divorce. I was angry at my situation at that time. It is not a new write. I don't publish them in order but I get what you mean.
