Silence

Silence, my trusted friend, thanks for visiting me again.

I missed you.

My heart has been too heavy of noise. My soul needs to hear itself.

I’m tired of conversations of nothing for just to have a conversation.

I have no need to fill the air with words when there is nothing significant to say.

Isn’t it the moment of silence that makes us to decide whether to touch someone for the first time or not? There is a little silence before the first kiss. Without that short moment we would miss our opportunities to truly connect with each other.

Are we not brave enough to feel and make connections that we cannot quiet for a moment? Do we make wrong conclusions just because we never sat inaudibly with that person? Are we afraid we show something ugly of ourselves in silence?

All meaningful relationships are created and finished in silence.

All enduring memories are made there.

No other time do we hear each other louder than on those slow quiet nights when we enjoy each other’s closeness and let our hearts do the talking.

Silence is our strongest ally. It never lies. It is always exposed and hides nothing. It is never evil.

Let me just enjoy you being there; hear the silence of your heart.
